NRYH Outreach Program

New Rochelle is a rich and diverse city. Most of the residents find this diversity appealing as it enables their children to learn and interact with children of varied cultures and backgrounds and be part of a global society. Youth athletic programs are an important part of this learning process. As such, NRYH is committed to encouraging children throughout New Rochelle to participate in our program. Since hockey is a relatively expensive sport to play given the cost of equipment, NRYH is dedicated to providing children with free or low cost opportunities to enjoy the joy of playing hockey.

FULL SCHOLARSHIP OUTREACH PROGRAM
 
We have partnered with Nike Bauer and received generous grants from many donors who are acknowledged on the Donors page of our website. These donations allow NRYH to provide scholarships for our program. Scholarship recipients may receive:

* Free tuition to our program
* Full equipment provided by Nike Bauer (equipment is the property of NRYH and must be returned at the end of the season)
* Jersey and other apparel provided as part of the program to all participants
* One week of summer hockey camp at a local rink provided to each scholarship participant (dependent on the availability of grants and donations)
 
If you have a kindergartner or first grader who attends a New Rochelle public school and would like to be considered for one of the scholarships we are offering, please contact us at (914) 498-5992 or by email at info@nryh.org. We encourage the parents of the applicants to apply as a group with their kids friends because we want the scholarship kids to be able to be together with friends so that they will enjoy participating and stick with the program.

EQUIPMENT SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM
 
Nike Bauer’s generosity enables us to provide full equipment to participants. Participants are responsible for the program fee and are required to return the equipment to NRYH at the end of the season. SPONSOR A SCHOLARSHIP RECIPIENT

In addition to general donations to the organization, donors can sponsor 1 or more of the 10 scholarship recipients. Donations of $300 or greater will be acknowledged on our website.
